What are the computer system requirements necessary to view this website?

  • Successful download and installation of a recent version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) made by Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Note: Java Plugin, previously required to run the tools on this site, is now part of the Java 2 Platform Standard Edition's (J2SE) Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

What kind of browser do I need to use this site?

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or newer. IE configuration directions
  • Mozilla Firefox version 2.0.0 or newer. Firefox configuration directions
  • Google Chrome release 4.0.0.0 or newer. Chrome configuration directions
  • Apple Safari 2.0 or newer. Safari configuration directions
  • Testing efforts to date have focused entirely on Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. No other browsers have been tested thoroughly. Other browsers, (i.e. Netscape Navigator, etc), may work, provided that you have installed the Java Runtime Environment, and have configured your browser to enable Java and JavaScript to be displayed.

How do I determine what version of browser I have?

  • On your browser's "Help" menu, click on the "About" menu item. For example, for Internet Explorer: click on the "About Internet Explorer" menu item.
